Dr. David A. Wells and the GLOBAL School Consulting Group join the Kyiv Christian Academy in announcing the renewed search for a new Director, to begin as soon as possible. KCA is seeking a committed Christian leader who is professionally qualified and experienced to lead this culturally integrated international Christian school, which primarily serves children of Christian missionaries in the capital city of Ukraine. The Board has recently approved offering a salary and compensation package for this position, permitting for the Director to devote his/her full attention to school leadership.
Kyiv Christian Academy moved to a spacious and beautiful, newly constructed school facility at the beginning of the 2019-20 school year. This marked a major advance for the school of approximately 140 students, which had occupied leased facilities since its inception. Prior to this change, the leased space significantly limited growth in program and enrollment. KCA is highly respected and successful international Christian school, jointly accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International and the Middle States Association and offering US-style educational program in a culturally diverse international context.
Wayne K. Lynch, an experienced school leader and Consultant with GLOBAL Group has been appointed Interim Director of KCA as the search for the permanent school Director continues. The successful candidate will be a qualified and inspirational leader, charged with leading a vibrant international Christian school community and program. This individual will have a passion for Christian ministry through a strong academic program, and for effective leadership and management in a Kindergarten – Grade Twelve school setting. The Director position provides opportunities to serve, lead, and relate to a very diverse community of missionary, international, and national families; and a staff composed of internationals and nationals.
The successful candidate will have a Christian faith commitment; will fully-embrace the school’s evangelical identity; and will understand and champion the mission and vision of the school. He/she will be an educational leader with at least five years of teaching or administrative experience; have earned a master’s or doctoral degree; demonstrate English-language fluency; and master the US-style and structure of education. The successful candidate will also be knowledgeable of and committed to a Biblically-based philosophy of education and will qualify for “All Levels Principal” certification with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). He/she will have multi-cultural experience and demonstrate the capacity and disposition to adapt to school ministry in a multi-cultural context.
The preferred candidate will also have head of school leadership and management training and experience; be experienced in adaptation to living cross-culturally and ministering in a multi-cultural educational setting, including service in a school committed to, and focused on, ministry to the children of missionaries; and have aptitude and experience in fundraising.
