Dr. David A. Wells and the GLOBAL School Consulting Group is honored to partner with the Gateway International School System in Hanoi, and the system’s parent company EDUFIT, in seeking a Head of English Program for the School System.  GIS currently has two campuses in its Grade One-Grade Twelve System, with a third campus under construction.  Gateway’s Schools are bilingual (English-Vietnamese), and the Hanoi campus has been approved for membership in the Council of International Schools and is in pursuit of international accreditation through CIS.  The System’s community consists of national families who value bilingual education which prepares children and young people for university study in Vietnam and internationally.  Staffing for the School includes Vietnamese nationals, as well as English-speaking internationals.

The System’s Head of English Program will report to the Chairperson of the Education, Research and Pedagogy Council, in the Office of the Superintendent. The successful candidate for the position will display a genuine love for children, a high energy level, and a willingness to work hard under tight deadlines and expectations commensurate with the responsibility.

Qualifications for the position include a master’s degree in an education-related discipline, management experience, native fluency in English, and experience working with U.S.-style curriculum.  The individual selected for the position will have proven leadership, management, organizational, relationship-building, and communication skills, and will have up-to-date training in relevant areas of expertise.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in as a principal or instructional leader, preferably at a large international school, and be passionate about working in the educational environment.
