Dr. David A. Wells and the GLOBAL School Consulting Group is pleased to partner with the School Board of the Christian International School of Prague, in Czech Republic, in recruiting the next Assistant Director of Development to begin on or before July 1, 2020 (or as available). CISP is a grade one through grade twelve international school with a community of caring staff and teachers from around the world. The School serves a student population of approximately one hundred and fifty students. CISP is located in the city-center of Prague, and recently celebrated its fifteenth year in existence! The School provides an excellent education, with classes taught in English, which is about more than just academics. The education at CISP is practically oriented, and students are challenged to grow into responsible contributors to society. A fundamental belief of CISP is that education should kindle students’ delight in learning and lay the groundwork for a joyful life of service to the world around them.

The CISP Assistant Director of Development is a member of the school’s administrative team and reports to the school Director; and is responsible for leading the school’s development program as adopted by the Administrative Board. The position is also responsible for developing and maintaining an active and productive relationships with staff members, donors, alumni, and the school’s local community as appropriate, and promoting the school’s mission to both internal constituencies and the community at large. At CISP, this role would include the pioneering of new materials, programs, resources, and strategies.
The successful candidate for the Assistant Director of Development position will have the following profile:
- Spiritually, the individual will have a clear testimony as a follower of Jesus Christ; display a mature, godly spirit; be a person of faith and prayer; understand and support the vision, mission, and philosophy of CISP; and be able to abide and live by the School’s Staff Code of Conduct.
- Professionally, the individual will have a minimum of three – five years of experience in development work; the ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with board members, donors, parents, administrators, and faculty; understand and support the CISP mission and philosophy as well as a general understanding and support of international Christian education; excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to work as a leader and as part of a team; highly organized and detail-oriented; the ability to meet deadlines and work independently with little or no supervision; and an enthusiasm for pioneering and creating and/or adapt materials and resources for fundraising.
- Personally, the individual’s life will reflect: a lifestyle of biblical integrity; a spirit of dedication, commitment, flexibility, responsiveness, and compassion; a spirit of even-temper and forgiveness as well as asking for forgiveness, when needed; the ability to listen and respond to authority and wise counsel; the ability to build a team and develop consensus; and a growth mindset with the ability to cast vision and lead confidently.
The Assistant Director of Development serves as a missionary volunteer at the School, responsible for his/her support, and comes to the Czech Republic under appointment with a Christian mission, unless self-supported. The School provides free tuition for the children of the Assistant Director of Development if they are enrolled at CISP, and the individual pays only the student fees. (If the individual does not receive the child tuition benefit, he/she receives a modest annual stipend.)
